Rosendale, NY Real Estate

Welcome to our Rosendale, NY Real Estate resource. The Town of Rosendale lies in the heart of  Ulster County which, in turn, lies in the heart of New York's historic Hudson Valley.  It is midway between New York City and Albany (the capital of NY), and midway between New Paltz and Kingston

(the first capital of NY), exits 18 and 19 of the New York State Thruway (I-87).

Rosendale's most historic claim to fame is as the source of "Rosendale Cement", used most notably in the foundations of both the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty.

Cement was also the "foundation" of Rosendale, and not just because of the broad seam of limestone under the ground. The Town of Rosendale was carved out of four neighboring towns with the specific intent of putting the cement region into one political unit.

The 2000 Census population of 6,352 is up about 2% since 1990.
